It should be understood that animal feeds are essentially commodities with high bulk and mass while having relatively low value. Therefore, the price of feed delivered to the customer is highly dependent on the supply chain and logistical costs. For customers far from Limpopo the costs of transport and intermediate storage become a dominant factor in the final price paid by the customer, although every effort is made to minimise such influences.
Costs are also naturally subject to inflationary pressures and the volatility of the world grain markets. Where possible, feed ingredients are substituted from time to time in order to mitigate such effects while maintaining guaranteed nutritional values. ORA Animal Feeds reserves the right to make such changes without notice except in the particular case of racehorses.
ORA does enjoy the benefit of obtaining feed ingredients direct from source and guarantees that the end-customer enjoys the same benefit as far as that is possible.
Prices for the various feeds, ex-factory and ex-distributor, are published to customers every 6 months. The prices charged by the distributors for local delivery are to be negotiated between customers and their particular distributor.
